Actress who went ‘missing’ after a date on Tinder has been found alive

Laura McCulloch has been charged with four counts of second-degree battery after getting physical at a restaurant in LA.

When Australian actress Laura McCulloch went missing following a Tinder encounter, her family worried nonstop for days. She was discovered safe and sound on Tuesday, August 16th… in a Los Angeles jail.

The famous singer and actress went on a date in Los Angeles on August 12 with someone she met on a dating app. When Laura failed to show up for work or contact her loved ones the next day, they became worried and began searching for her.

The family announced on Tuesday that Laura was no longer considered “lost.” It was revealed after MailOnline reported that Laura had spent four days in jail for being disruptive in a restaurant, a claim that was confirmed by police.

As reported by the Santa Monica PD, cops were called to a local eatery on August 12 when a particularly boisterous customer named Laura caused a disturbance. What followed was a precipitous decline in her already dire circumstances.

Police were called after a woman, later identified as Laura McCulloch, allegedly threw a drink at a family of four, including a 2-year-old toddler, as they were dining at a restaurant. “Ms. McCulloch was visibly intoxicated when police arrived and spoke with her. McCulloch ran toward the police as they investigated, cursing and swearing.”

“McCulloch was violent despite people’s best efforts to quiet her down. The report added, “Laura McCulloch, 37, from Australia, was arrested, transferred to the Santa Monica Jail, and booked for public intoxication and resisting arrest after she became physically violent during efforts to hold her, kicking at officers and biting one officer on the shoulder.””

A felony charge and a $25,000 bond have landed Laura in jail, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s inmate booking files.

In an Instagram post made after Laura’s safe return, her sister Clare McCulloch said, “As expected, she was located unharmed and in good health. The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone who has reached out to aid them through this difficult time.”

Although Laura’s career as an actor, singer, voice-over artist, writer, and producer began in New York City in 2021, she has lately relocated to Los Angeles. In 2022, she was featured in the independent short film “Covid Support Group” and appeared in other musical productions.
