Back in July of 2020, Death Stranding was released on PC via Steam. Death Stranding: Director’s Cut was released earlier this year for PC players, bringing with it some new features and expanded storyline.

In contrast, PC Game Pass members can only play the base game of Death Stranding, which lacks the aforementioned Director’s Cut’s additional content and alterations. Whether or not the material from the Director’s Cut will be made available in the future is unknown.

The main reason Death Stranding is coming to the PC Game Pass platform is because 505 Games was given the publishing rights despite the game being a PlayStation console exclusive.

Microsoft has not announced any premieres for the upcoming showcase as of yet, but there is a rumor that the Ubisoft Plus subscription service will be coming to Xbox consoles, or that it will be merged with the Game Pass service.
