Glenn Greenwald reports on Edward Snowden’s husband and his health

Spokesperson Glenn Greenwald has provided an update on David Miranda’s condition, which is being treated as critical at the hospital.

On Tuesday, journalist Glenn Greenwald gave a brief update on the health of his hospitalized husband, David Miranda.

Greenwald wrote in a lengthy post, “I wish I had good news to report but I don’t yet.” Since the 7th of August, Miranda has been hospitalized due to inflammation and infection in his digestive tract. Greenwald claimed that these problems have developed into “serious complications” over the past month.

Greenwald wrote about his dog Mila, one of many he and his husband have rescued, revealing that she is the most like his daughter Miranda (they own a total of 25 dogs at their home). In the days leading up to Miranda’s hospitalization, the previously “healthy” animal started behaving erratically and “depressed.”

Greenwald has been keeping his social media followers up to date on his husband’s condition.

My husband @davidmirandario has been in the intensive care unit (ICU) since Sunday due to complications from an infection in his gastrointestinal tract. I know no one stronger than David, but his condition is critical. We would be grateful for your prayers and well-wishes. — From Glenn Greenwald (@ggreenwald): August 9, 2022

“Since David was admitted to the hospital, she has been inconsolable, refusing to eat or do much of anything,” Greenwald wrote.

He continued, “I took her to the vet, and it turns out she has a lot of the same health problems that my husband does.”

They are helping her and hope she will get better soon. If you don’t spend much time around dogs, this may all seem like coincidence to you, Greenwald admitted. But as someone who has spent the last 20 years of their life dedicated to and surrounded by dogs, I am convinced that Mila’s health issues are not coincidental.
