If you ever need Justin and Hailey Bieber, just yell.

The model, 25, and the singer, 28, have each other’s backs through the ups and downs of their careers and personal lives.

It was exactly four years to the day after the couple got engaged that Hailey said, “He’s still the person that I want to be rushing back to.” The interview was for one of Harper’s Bazaar’s September ICONS covers. “I could take a plane to get to work, but I’d rather be here with my friends. And I think that’s due to the work that’s been done on both ends.”

Despite the challenges of marriage, they are dedicated to working through them together.

Finally, Hailey said, “He is my best friend, but it does take a lot of work to make it work.” To which she added, “And then I know eventually, when kids come into the picture, that’s going to be a whole other season of navigating how to make that work.”

The Engagement and Marriage of Justin and Hailey Bieber

When Justin was 24 and Hailey was 21, they got married in a New York courthouse. The following year, they had a second wedding in South Carolina. As a couple, Hailey and her partner have been through some rough times recently, but they have been able to pull through it.

The founder of a Rhode Island skincare company recently told a magazine, “I just think life is changing all the time.” “Over the course of a day, a week, or a year. I think a perfect example of that is over the last six months, both of us have gone through very serious health issues. You just gotta learn how to roll with the punches, man. For better or for worse is a phrase that has meaning. Like, that’s for real!”

Hailey had “stroke-like symptoms” and “suffered a very small blood clot to the brain” back in March.

Her April YouTube video began, “The conclusion was that I had a blood clot that traveled into my heart,” and concluded, “My blood clot actually escaped through the flap or the hole in my heart and it traveled to my brain and that is why I suffered a TIA [a transient ischemic attack].”

Some dates on his Justice World Tour were pushed back after Justin revealed in June that he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which had temporarily paralyzed parts of his face. Both he and Hailey have recovered from their health scares; she was spotted supporting him at one of his shows after the tour resumed in July.

In a June Good Morning America interview, she said, “I think the silver lining of it, honestly, is that it brings us a lot closer, ’cause you’re going through this together, you’re being there for each other, you’re supporting each other, and there’s just something that really, like, bonds you through these times.”
