Melvin Gordon, a running back for the Broncos, didn’t show up to practice for a second straight day on Thursday.
Given his foot injury, Gordon sat out the team’s joint practice with the Cowboys and watched from the sidelines. On Wednesday, head coach Nathaniel Hackett said the team was discussing how to handle the injury so that Gordon could play during the regular season.
That seems like a likely outcome at this point. According to James Palmer of NFL Media, the injury is not life-threatening.
While Gordon rests, Javonte Williams and Mike Boone will share time at running back. Additional running back options in Denver include Max Borghi, JaQuan Hardy, and Stevie Scott.
The article Melvin Gordon is still out of practice, but his foot injury isn’t considered serious first appeared on Pro Football Talk.
