In a game played on Sunday at RingCentral Coliseum, the Oakland Athletics defeated the Seattle Mariners 5-3, although it seems the day’s most noteworthy incident may not have been related to what happened on the field.

Police have confirmed they are looking into claims that a pair performed sex acts in the stands during the game, according to TMZ Sports. On social media, someone at the location posted a clip of the alleged deed, and as of Monday afternoon, the clip had received nearly two million views.

According to a statement provided to TMZ by an Oakland Police Department spokesperson, “The Oakland Police Department was not made aware of this until after the game, and we have launched an investigation.”

The couple could be sentenced to up to $1,000 in fines and/or up to six months in jail if they are ultimately prosecuted and found guilty.

The victory raised Oakland’s record to a dismal 45-77, and as of Monday, the Athletics had the worst record in the American League and the second-worst record overall in Major League Baseball, trailing only the Washington Nationals (41-82). Bleacher Report’s Scott Polacek reports that 9,314 spectators were registered to attend the game on Sunday.

Oakland has the lowest average attendance in the league (9,576), according to ESPN.
