Red Hot Chili Peppers be just another one of the many bands who have received the MTV VMAs’ Global Icon Award

Red Hot Chili Peppers won the Global Icons award and fans loved it.

Bruce Gillmer, president of music at Paramount, musical talent, programming and events, and chief operating officer of Music for Paramount, said: “Nicki’s flexibility and originality as an artist have paved the way for other women in the hip-hop industry. Her ability to appeal to fans across musical genres while remaining unabashedly “Nicki” has helped her to transform the music industry and establish herself as a global superstar.”

Other than that, Harry Styles has been nominated for six awards.

The creator of the smash hit “As It Was” is up for multiple awards at the ceremony.

Lil Nas X, Jack Harlow, and Kendrick Lamar all have seven nominations, while Doja Cat has six.

Each of Drake, Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd is up for five awards.

Meanwhile, Madonna has set a new record by being the only performer to be nominated for a Video Music Award in each of the VMA’s three decades of existence.

With a 69th nomination thanks to ‘Madame X,’ the Queen of Pop has officially become the most nominated artist in VMA history.

In addition to Kacey Musgraves and Maneskin, this year’s nominees list features 26 other artists who have never before been even considered.

The annual Video Music Awards will be broadcast live on MTV, the CW, BET, BET Her, CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TVLand, and VH1 beginning at 8 p.m.
