The V12 Vantage is retiring in fine fashion. Aston Martin said on Friday that in addition to the coupe unveiled earlier this year, it will also produce a very small number of V-12-powered Vantage Roadsters. It possibly represents one of Aston Martin’s final 12-cylinder vehicles and features the same modifications that were initially seen on the hardtop model.

Many of the engine and chassis enhancements for the 2023 V12 Vantage Roadster are also present in the coupe. This indicates that the engine is a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V-12 from the DBS Superleggera, producing 690 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque. It has a mechanical limited-slip differential and an eight-speed automated transaxle to transmit power to the rear wheels. For increased overall grip, the track has been enlarged and the suspension system has been changed. 200 mph peak speed and a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds are claimed by Aston.

Many of the aero improvements made to the V12 Vantage Roadster are also made to its hardtop sibling, including updated bumpers and underbody sculpting. The front fenders, hood, side sills, bumper, and hood are all comprised of carbon fiber. The updated design not only offers a maximum of 476 pounds of downforce, but also adequate cooling for the big engine plant under the enormous front clamshell.

Standard carbon-ceramic brakes and 21-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires are two additional enhancements. A lightweight forged wheel that saves 17 pounds overall is an option available to buyers. If you really want to lose weight, you can also select a set of carbon-shelled buckets that will reduce the curb weight of the car by 16 pounds.

Production of the V12 Vantage Roadster is anticipated to begin in 2022’s third quarter, with deliveries beginning in the latter part of the year. Although the price has not yet been disclosed, it doesn’t really matter because all 249 of the planned production’s 249 units have already been purchased.
