Since announcing earlier this month that her mother has breast cancer, Cynthia Bailey has been showing her appreciation and love to everyone who has been thinking of her and her family.

The former cast member of Real Housewives of Atlanta, 55-year-old Cynthia Bailey, was at the hospital on Monday waiting for her mother, Barbara Ford Morris, who was going in for surgery.

“The prayers, messages, and calls have been greatly appreciated. My mom, @barbarafmorris, is feeling a bit on edge and nervous today, but otherwise fine emotionally and mentally “Written by Bailey.

“When they were getting her ready for surgery, her blood pressure was too high to proceed, but they were able to lower it in time. Now all we can do is hope and pray. Please keep praying with me and my family that the surgery goes well and that I make a full recovery quickly “Her comment was as follows.

By the grace of God, the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip star’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer early on August 12, and she broke the news to her Instagram followers that day.

“My wonderful mom, @barbarafmorris, was recently told she has breast cancer. Although she had no symptoms, her most recent mammogram revealed something was wrong. We finally got her into a doctor yesterday to find out what stage she’s at and what kind of care she can expect. Thank God we identified it early; this is still only the first stage “During that time, she shared some photos of her mother and sister, Malorie.

Bailey continued by saying she felt compelled to share her personal news in order to encourage women to maintain a regular schedule of annual mammograms.

“She will recover completely after cancer removal surgery and radiation treatment. For the longest time, I only told my closest friends and family. I wasn’t planning on writing to you all about the good news I got about my mom’s health yesterday, but I just couldn’t keep it to myself. Please accept my deepest gratitude for the outpouring of support, prayer, and hope. Get your annual mammograms, ladies. The key is early detection! The next one is on the calendar for today!” Bailey continued while also expressing gratitude to the staff at Emory Decatur Hospital.

Bailey concluded, “Thank you to all of the wonderful physicians & staff #emorydecaturhospital for being so patient, helpful, & kind to my mom & the family.”

The CDC reports that approximately 9% of all newly diagnosed cases of breast cancer occur in women younger than 45.
