Looking to glamp, camp, or experience luxury in the Smoky Mountains?

We strongly advise using The Ridge Outdoor Resort as your base while in Sevierville. You can stay in luxury glamping tents, modest homes, or RV spaces. And it’s just outside a ton of excitement in Tennessee, including Dollywood, which is three miles away.

Recently, we spent a night here in a glamping tent and instantly fell in love with The Ridge. Here is a video tour of our tent that you can watch. the top three aspects of The Ridge that we found most appealing, followed by responses to queries you posed to us on social media.

Three reasons why we’ll visit The Ridge Outdoor Resort again

ELEGANT GLAMPING TENTS

This is an excellent area to park your RV because it is also an RV resort. For groups of two, there are also tiny house rentals available. however, we can’t get enough of the safari glamping tents!

The two most opulent amenities of all are temperature control and regular restrooms, so let’s start there.

Each tent has a heating and cooling system. It’s interesting that we had to utilize both when we visited. We utilized the heater at night and the air conditioner during the day because it was that transitional time of year, and both worked really well.

And the tent does really have a bathroom. There is a real, flushing toilet within the tent, not a composting toilet or one that is “just down the path.” Additionally, there is a shower and sink with hot water and plush towels that will make you forget you are camping.

Every tent has two bedrooms. Some tents contain a second bedroom with a full-sized bed, while others have two bunkbeds (4 sleeping spaces).

yet another lux? Cooking area! Enjoy a fridge, a microwave, a sink, and a stove with two eyes (with freezer.) There are also all the kitchen appliances you could possibly need to prepare the ideal supper. Additionally, there is a charcoal barbecue right outside the tent if you want to cook up some steak or hamburgers (BYO charcoal).

You may relax on the porch at night and stay toasty near to the gas campfire.

savor the evening with the kids while relaxing under the string of lights. Alternately, you might follow our example and turn out the lights to see a million stars glowing just for you.

INCREDIBLE FACILITIES

That would be sufficient if there were simply glamping tents available.

However, there is a ton more.

We sat in the heated saltwater pool in the evenings because it was the end of the season when we went. As the sun started to drop, it did get a little cool, but nothing to worry about. All we did was dash over to the hot tub!

(PS. It has zero entry, making it simple for grandparents or small children who enjoy swimming.)

There is a playground for children, a fitness center, a kids’ area with ping pong, coloring pages, and other activities, a pickleball court, and a basketball court.

To travel around, you can also rent golf carts, or you may bring Fido to the Bark Park to let him burn off some energy.

A good location is crucial.

Although it seemed like we were “in the middle of nowhere,” Downtown Sevierville was actually only a 5-minute drive away! We had the best of both worlds because to the easy access to all the exciting attractions and fantastic eateries.

This luxurious RV campground/Glamping resort is located in the Smoky Mountains, just three miles from Pigeon Forge and Dollywood.

YOUR QUESTIONS ARE RESPONSE

Please watch our video walkthrough if you haven’t already. We received a TON of questions via Facebook Messenger after the video received over 16,000 views in less than a week. We’ve compiled them below with the answers we think will help you make your reservation right away.

RIGHT, IT’S EXPENSIVE?

It seems as like it ought to be, doesn’t it? But The Ridge is quite inexpensive! RV sites start at $46, and luxury sites cost $68 at the time of writing. Small cabin homes start at $100… Safari tents begin around $110 as well. The Ridge should always be consulted first for the most recent pricing information.

DO WE GET TO BRING OUR RV?

YES! There were 49 spaces (back in and pull thru) at The Ridge when it originally opened, but I think more recently.

Choose between a wood or natural gas fire pit on the concrete (62–100 ft) fire pit pads. Additionally, there are picnic tables, excellent wifi, and cable.

To learn about their upcoming phase, which will begin in the 2021 Season, be sure to sign up for their email list. More Premier RV Sites will be available, as well as new Signature Sites with hot tubs, walking pathways, another modern bathhouse, a private fishing pond, and a swimming lagoon.

CAN I COME WITH MY DOG?

Absolutely! As was already noted, a dog park exists. Tell them you have a dog with you if, like us, you are staying in one of the glamping tents. There are just two tents that allow pets.

Pets cannot be left unsupervised and must be kept on a leash. For more information, ask the staff.

WE DO NOT OWN CHILDREN. ARE WE STILL SURE WE LIKE IT?

Absolutely! We had a lovely time with our kids (12 and 8), who we took along, and I imagine that more children visit over the holidays. Although this is a family-friendly resort, I would hazard to say that the majority of guests (at least during our time) were not traveling with children.

The Ridge is without a doubt my choice for a getaway with the girls or a romantic getaway.

THE OUTSIDE IS BECOMING COLDER. CAN YOU HEAT THE TENT?

Yes! The air conditioning and heating systems in the glamping tents are excellent. No matter what time of year you visit, you will feel very comfortable.

WHAT TIME CAN WE ARRIVE?

You can check in as early as midday if you’re traveling in an RV. Check-in is at 3pm because cleaning is more intensive for tents and cabins. Everyone must check out by 11 am.

CAN THE TENT SLEEP HOW MANY PEOPLE? HOW ABOUT THE SMALL HOUSE?

4 persons (2 beds) or 6 people can fit in a tent (1 bed and 2 bunk beds, each sleeping two people.) When you rent a tent, be sure to specify which choice you prefer.

Two persons can sleep in a single bed in a little house cabin.

I MUST HAVE COFFEE. DO YOU HAVE COFFEE?

YES!! There is silver, a coffee maker, coffee mugs, cookware, and more. Bring only your preferred creamer and grounds.
