SPECIAL — As the British fighter’s new trainer gets ready for his quest for retribution for losing the unified heavyweight title to Oleksandr Usyk in 2021, Robert Garcia has said that Anthony Joshua’s preparation was “not good at all” and “one of his poorest ever.”

At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September of last year, Joshua lost by unanimous decision after trying to outbox the strategically adept Ukrainian rather than use his physical superiority to dominate the former undisputed cruiserweight champion.

Throughout the demoralizing dethronement, the 32-year-corner old’s was filled with several, inaccurate voices, and the tactical blunders emphasized the necessity for Joshua to adopt a new strategy. After ten years of dating Rob McCracken, he broke up with her to seek aid from the US.

Garcia, a former junior lightweight world champion and three-time Ring Magazine trainer of the year, was chosen to lead the charge. Angel Fernandez and the highly regarded boxing expert are assisting Joshua in getting ready for the biggest performance of his career to date.
