Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who tweeted an advertisement for a rally with the Teamsters and the Association of Flight Attendants in Boston on Sunday, has sparked discussion on social media.
The poster, which calls for people to get up and support the struggle against “corporate greed,” is written in pink and orange letters that resembles the font used by Dunkin’ Donuts.
The sign reads, “America operates on solidarity.” The company’s “America runs on Dunkin” slogan and this one are similar.

My childhood home was a three and a half room, rent-controlled apartment. I’ll be damned if I let a small group of millionaires rule this nation. Today, I’m in Boston for a rally alongside Sara Nelson, president of the AFL-CIO, and Sean O’Brien, president of the Teamsters. I’m hoping you’ll go with us. pic.twitter.com/RRepRZtV5s Sanders (@BernieSanders) 21 August 2022

On Twitter, there was an immediate response to the message, and many people enquired about the design.
“The garish Dunkin’ Donuts font in pink and orange minimizes this crucial message. You can do much better, and you should, “a user posted.
“At first, I mistook this for a Dunkin Donuts commercial, but it fits right in with your two-bit carnival barker aesthetic. You say, “You’ll be damned”? A lack of billionaires? Good luck and please let me know how it goes “Yet another commenter tweeted.
Sen. Sanders and Dunkin’ have both been contacted by The Washington Examiner for a reaction.
On Saturday, Sanders conducted a similar rally in Philadelphia.
