Tyson Fury says his cousin was fatally stabbed in England, but the relative’s name has not been released at this time

The effects of knife crimes are expansive and they need a better punishing system to stop the problem.

Tyson Fury’s cousin was fatally stabbed on Saturday night in England, the two-time heavyweight champion confirmed on Sunday.

It’s ridiculous that idiots carry knives in the UK, Fury wrote on Instagram, noting that Rico Burton was fatally stabbed in the neck.

The British-born Fury wrote alongside a picture reading “Stop Knife Crime” that the government “needs to bring higher sentencing for knife crime, it’s a pandemic and you don’t know how bad it is until it’s 1 of your own!”

A human life is “very precious and can be taken away very quickly,” Fury went on to say. Soak up every second of it.

Burton, age 31, was stabbed to death in the Goose Green area of Altrincham, according to the Greater Manchester Police. It was also reported that a 17-year-old, who was not named by police, was stabbed.

Police say they’ve taken two men, ages 20 and 21, into custody in connection with the incident.

On Sunday, Detective Superintendent Ben Ewart said, “First and foremost, may I take this opportunity to pass on my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Rico at this very difficult time.”

Police in Greater Manchester have begun looking into a homicide and have assigned officers with specialized training to help the victim’s loved ones.

At approximately 3 a.m. local time, police say the incident took place.

Ewart went on to say that “this was a senseless act” and that the victims “should have returned home this morning” after spending the night out with friends.
