Dan Campbell, the head coach of the Lions, adopted a novel strategy for today’s practice: no coaching was permitted.

Campbell was present for today’s practice but chose to remain a spectator. His assistants weren’t even present at any of the practices.

Instead, the players took charge in a quick session without full protection and worked in situational drills that they planned independently without any instruction.
