After Thursday’s games, the opening round of the 2022 WNBA playoffs was complete. This season, the WNBA playoffs will now consist of best-of-three first-round series, followed by best-of-five semifinal and championship rounds. There are eight teams in the playoffs, but no higher seed will receive a bye. The defending champion Chicago Sky enter the playoffs as the second seed, following the top-seeded Las Vegas Aces. This postseason, Yahoo Sports will be providing live coverage of all the action.

Pairings for the first round of the WNBA playoffs

Currently ranked No. 1 Las Vegas Aces (26-10) take on No. 8 Phoenix Mercury (13-18). (15-21)

The second-ranked Chicago Sky (26-10) will take on the seventh-ranked New York Liberty (21-15). (16-20)

Third-place Connecticut Sun (25-11) vs. sixth-place Dallas Wings (18-18)

Game 4: No. 4 Seattle Storm (22-14) vs. No. 5 Washington Mystics (21-15) (22-14)

Stage 2, Second Round

This Saturday at noon on ESPN, New York will host Chicago.

ESPN2 will broadcast the Suns’ game against the Knights tonight at 9 p.m.

This Sunday at noon on ABC, Dallas takes on Connecticut.

Watch Washington take on Seattle at 4 o’clock on ESPN.

Third Match of Round 1 (if necessary)

On Tuesday, ESPN2 will broadcast Chicago vs. New York at 8 p.m., and ESPN will air the game between Las Vegas and Phoenix at 10 p.m.

The match between Seattle and Washington will air at 7 p.m. on ESPN2; at 9 p.m., Connecticut will host Dallas on ESPN.

If Game 3 is needed both nights, then both games will be played. If Game 3 is necessary, it will be broadcast on ESPN at 9 p.m.
