The Toronto episode of Monday Night Raw tonight included several intense matches, a sentimental homecoming, and a significant comeback. While addressing the WWE Universe from the ring early in the program, Trish Stratus dropped hints that she might come out of retirement to face Bayley later in the show. Edge, a native of Toronto and a WWE Hall of Famer, headlined the main event. Judgement Day’s Damien Priest, with whom he used to work, was his opponent. Edge’s first bout in Toronto in ten years was met with a roaring ovation from the local crowd.

Johnny Wrestling Is Back

Roughly nine months have passed since we last saw Johnny Gargano on television. Back then, he was participating in NXT’s annual War Games battle alongside LA Knight, Pete Dunne, and Tommaso Ciampa, taking on Bron Breaker, Carmelo Hayes, Grayson Waller, and Tony D’Angelo. Johnny Gargano broke down in tears as he told the NXT audience he will not be renewing his contract with WWE on the following week.

There had been a lot of uncertainty about Gargano’s wrestling career for a while. After the birth of his son, Quill (aka Baby Wrestling), he and his wife Candice LeRae took some time off to focus on their family. Finally, after a long absence, he returned to the ring tonight.

Tonight in Toronto, Gargano gave a stirring message to his adoring followers about the value of putting one’s faith in oneself. Gargano has stated that he hopes to achieve his goal of being a WWE champion for both himself and his son. Until Austin Theory, owner of the Money in the Bank briefcase, interrupted him; however, Gargano promptly delivered a superkick to his former protege, satisfying the crowd once more.

Tonight is the beginning of a thrilling new era in Johnny Wrestling’s career, regardless of whether or not he meets up with any of his old buddies on the main roster.
